YOUNG people keen to beat the boredom and get active during the summer holidays are invited to Gloucester Park this weekend for the SX Urban Games.
The event, hosted by the Bald MC, will be taking place between 11am and 4pm on Saturday 28 August in Gloucester Park. It will see a variety of urban alternative sports ranging from skate boarding and bmx'ing to basketball.
As well as opportunities to get involved there will be a wealth of performers showcasing their skills. Demonstrations, workshops and competitions will also take place throughout the day with a three on three basketball competition run by Essex Pirates and Wickford Knights with guest appearances from the BIG Fen Street Team with prizes to be won. Colin Nell Freestyle footballer will also be showcasing his skills and will be on hand to teach people a trick or two.
Residents of all ages are invited to come along to the free event. Play Rangers will be on hand to provide fun for younger visitors whilst music lovers will be catered for by the boom room which will feature local dj's, bands and Kayzar street dance crew will be their throughout the event.
