Get in to the rhythm with Jo Jingles
Children in Basildon are putting on their dancing shoes and picking up instruments in an exciting new class at Markhams Chase Leisure Centre.
Jo Jingles, a singing and movement class for young children ran at Markhams Chase Leisure centre has proved a big success with full classes each week.
The sessions run by trained supervisors are carefully structured to help children develop through playing instruments, singing songs and finding a rhythm to move and dance to whilst having fun and making friends.
Councillor Kevin Blake, Cabinet Member for Arts and Leisure said "The Get Out There initiative run by Basildon Council has on offer a wide range of leisure services for all ages and Jo Jingles is a great example of what is available for younger residents.
The 45 minute sessions are split in to ages and run on Wednesdays 1.45pm (3-4 years), and Fridays 9.45am (under 2 years) and 10.45am (over 2 years).
Sessions are £1.50 and to book on to the sessions contact the Leisure Centre on 01268 465840.
