PLAY RANGERS RECRUITING
Basildon District Council has received funding from the Big Lottery to deliver an innovative mobile play scheme across the district to encourage participation in play for children aged 5 - 12 years. The scheme will be run during the school holidays and at weekends throughout the year.
As a Play Ranger you will be part of a team to develop and deliver opportunities for young people to participate in play that will enable them to develop socially, emotionally, creatively, personally and intellectually. Play Rangers will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for young children, young people and their families to participate in play.
We are looking for creative and lively staff with an NVQ Level 2/3 in Playwork or a level 2 sports coaching qualification or equivalent. The ability to travel around the district and work weekends is necessary.
You will be required to undergo a disclosure check with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
