Lake Meadows Park in Billericay is set for the opening of a new sports facility this weekend.

The Multi Use Sports Facility or MUSA which has been funded by Billericay Town Council alongside a grant for £20,000 obtained by the Billericay Youth Town Council will be officially opened on Saturday 15 May at 11am.

The new facility has been built following a series of consultations with young people in the area and Basildon Council will maintain the equipment as part of the Lake Meadows partnership agreement with the town council.

Cllr Kevin Blake, Cabinet Member for Leisure said "I am very pleased to see the new sporting facility coming to Lake Meadows. This is a good example of partners working together to improve facilities for residents."

To celebrate the opening Basildon Council have arranged for a top Basketball Coach from Wickford Knight to provide 2 hours of free coaching on the day.
