With the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile in Basildon just 3 weeks away, Basildon Council are encouraging residents to get signed up.

The mile, taking place on Sunday 21^st March, looks set to be an unforgettable day with many friends, family and workmates signing up to take on the challenge together.

Kevin Blake, Cabinet Member for Arts and Leisure said: "The Basildon Sport Relief Mile is set to be an amazing day. It's fantastic that so many people from Basildon are gathering together to show their support for Sport Relief 2010. We want this to be the best Sport Relief event yet, so we still need more people to raise their game, enter the Basildon Mile and join us to raise plenty of cash!"

You can choose your own distance challenge from 1, 3 or 6 miles. That means, from toddlers with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock, there's something for everyone on the big day.
